Louis F. Rossiter, PhD
Chief of Scientific Methods
Lou is a co‑founder of New Health Analytics and oversees all data integrity, HIPAA and research initiatives for new analytics. He is the author of 14 edited books, 1 sole‑author book, and over 50 journal publications on health economics and policy. Lou was previously the Secretary of Health and Human Resources for the Commonwealth of Virginia, and served as Deputy for Policy to the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). He has served on the Board of Regents of the National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health, the National Advisory Council of the U.S. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and AcademyHealth. Lou received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his bachelor’s degree from Lenoir-Rhyne University.
Warren T. Brennan, MHA
Chief Operating Officer
Warren is a co-founder of NHA and manages the company’s operations including data management, technology development, reporting, and customer relationships. Prior startups in which he participated include Med3000, Coastal Physician Group, and CareData.com. His professional career in healthcare began with service in the US military including a tour in Vietnam as executive officer of a 350 bed evacuation Hospital and then a tour as a management aid to the US Army Surgeon General. His consulting experience evolved from a role as a senior executive with Touche Ross. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh, Masters in Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and attended the University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine as a doctoral candidate.
Eric Silfen, MD
Eric is a founding member of New Health Analytics. As a physician executive, he most recently was the architect and manager of Medical Affairs in a multinational, Fortune 100 company. During his career Eric practiced emergency medicine for over twenty years, served in hospital administration, taught biomedical informatics and led a healthcare clinical research organization. Currently, Eric is a principal in Medtech Analytics, LLC, a privately held firm that empowers medtech, biotech and pharma firms to accelerate market adoption of their company’s products. Eric received his BA from Lehigh University, MD from Georgetown University, MSHA from Virginia Commonwealth University and MA from Columbia University.
Sandy Friedman founded MediRegs, a health care compliance and reimbursement software and publishing company in 1999. MediRegs created the ComplyTrack GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) workflow software. ComplyTrack is unique in health care GRC because of its integration with the complementary MediRegs suite of regulatory reference databases, as well as MediRegs reimbursement coding tools and calculators. There is a widespread installed base of MediRegs products and services in hospitals and other health care provider communities. MediRegs was acquired by Wolters Kluwer and is now part of Wolters Kluwer Legal and Regulatory Solutions.
Jennifer Green, RHIT, CPCS
Jennifer Green is responsible for network and customer development. She is recognized as an expert in the field of healthcare quality management. Ms. Green obtained her certificate for Provider Credentialing Specialist in 1991 after assuming the role of Director of Physician Services at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. Since then she has worked within the Department of Health Administration at Virginia Commonwealth University. She has a degree in Health Information Technology.

APIvista is an API-focused development and managed services company that supports our technology and information system platforms across all four products. APIvista has broad expertise in API-focused delivery to ensure that important data are always secure and available to our customers. APIvista is headed by Mark Wensell, CEO, who has a long history with New Health Analytics and is an IT entrepreneur, business and sales leader in the hosting, colocation and cloud industry since 1997.
Lead Software Engineer
Frank Pipesh is a software engineer and data center manager at NHA. He has expertise in hospital claims and patient-‑level databases, performance measurement, and systems development. At the Maryland Hospital Association, Frank lead technical teams developing Quality Indicator Projects. He was the lead developer on the Maryland Patient Safety Center, a project that was awarded the 2005 John M. Eisenberg Patient Safety and Quality Award for innovation in patient safety. In addition, Frank worked with the state regulatory agency on the design and implementation of Maryland’s Pay for Performance program.
Vlad Olchanski, PhD
Vlad Olchanski is a system developer at NHA. He is trained in applied systems analysis and has extensive experience in the design of medical decision support systems. He was the Chairman of the Joint Department of Medical Decision Support Systems in the Health Ministry and the Academy of Sciences of Russia, as well as a Senior Technical Officer of the World Health Organization. In those roles he developed a technology platform for the exchange of international cancer research data. Dr. Olchanski participated in an NCI grant for the assessment of computerized disease prevention systems at the Medical College of Virginia.
Curt Woodard is a network administrator at NHA. He has worked in the computer industry for over 20 years. He has a master’s degree in computer science from Virginia Commonwealth University. His specialties are programming and database design. Curt has written web applications in support of medical data search, payment calculation, and analysis.
Nolyn Whitaker, CHDA
Nolyn Whitaker is a health data analyst for NHA. She is trained to use software applications to compile and analyze medical data. She has health industry experience in analyzing and visualizing data for business development decision support in the acute care environment and population health analytics in the ambulatory care environment. She earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Mason School of Business at the College of William and Mary.
Roberta Solomonova is a data analyst for New Health Analytics. Her role involves claims and market analysis reporting, updating healthcare policies and procedures, as well as client support. Roberta is a second year Master of Health Administration student at the Virginia Commonwealth University.
